Welcome To Pakistan Philatelic Club

When I started collecting stamps, I was unable to understand that from where I could get guidance. There was no body around me who could guide me in this respect. These early days of my hobby were really difficult. Many times, I collected a wonderful collection but when I presented it to some one then I came to know that these stamps are not of that importance as I was thinking.

In the light of all above, I established a club in 1989, whose name was "Pakistan Philatelic Cub". Under the supervision of this club, I started publishing a magazine named "Pak Philatelic Bulletin". This magazine continued to print successfully up to 2000. But in 2000, I had to stop this magazine, as a very close friend of mine Mr. Rizwan, who helped me a lot in publishing this magazine, went England. Some of my friends, advised me not to stop this magazine. But I did not listen them.

In 2003, some of my friends advised me to start my work on internet. I seriously thought about it and created my club's group in yahoo groups in June 2003 whose name was "Pak Net Mag". From this club once again I started publishing a stamp magazine. The only difference was that in the past it was printed and this time this was just issued on internet. In this respect my friend Mr. Muhammad Jamil helped me a lot by time to time. My other friends who also helped me in this respect are Mr. Tariq Khatak and Mr. Nawaz Siddiqui.

Now it was considerable think that the information provided in the magazine by time to time, should be gathered at a place, so that if a collector wants to get these, he could get it easily. Keeping in view all this, this site was created. The main purpose of this site is to gather the collectors at a plate form and provide them necessary information.

Another major reason of establishing this web site is that I do not want that a new collector has to face the hardships which I faced in the beginning of my hobby. Actually many collectors just leave this hobby, only because they did not get proper information. Due to this reason this hobby could not grow in especially Pakistan as it grew in the other countries of the world.

Another major reason to create this web site is to promote philately in Pakistan. I can not complete this mission alone, for this I need assistance from all the friends and I hope that you all will co-operate with me. I shall wait for your worthy suggestions, so that I could make this site more informative in the light of your suggestions.
