ABOUT ME

My name is Wahid Zia son of Zia-ur-Rehman (Late). I born on August 27, 1968 in Lahore a city of Pakistan. My qualification is M.A History. I started collecting stamps in 1980. I started my collection with used stamps and gathered a well organized collection. But when I got knowledge of this hobby by the time that what is the difference between a perfect and spoil stamp. I had to discard more than half of my collection. I became a mature collector in 1990 and after that I was on the track of success. During this I also got some medals during different exhibitions.

I was too crazy about this hobby that in 1989 I established a club named "Pakistan Philatelic Club".  Under this club, I started printing a ,magazine named "Pak Philatelic Bulletin". This magazine continued to printing till 2000 and after that I had to stop it due to some un-describable reasons. But after some period when I again thought about it, then I created my own group in "Yahoo Groups" and now this group also has its own website. As soon as far I concern, this is such an interesting hobby that as much time you spent in it, it further increase you thirst.
